We believe the draft Revenue Administration Law represents a sensible modernisation of the powers of the Comptroller and the machinery for collection of tax in the Island. It should be seen as part of an overall modernisation of the Jersey tax system, but is an essential step in the whole process. We have no particular comments on the individual provisions of the law.
