THE STATES, adopting the request of Deputy Montfort Tadier of St. Brelade , agreed in accordance with Standing Order 26(7), to reduce the minimum lodging period in respect of the amendment of Deputy Montfort Tadier of St. Brelade (P.6/2025 Amd.) to the proposition of the Minister for International Development entitled A National Day for Jersey' (P.6/2025), in order that it might be debated at the present meeting.
Re-instatement of Senators P.2/2025
THE STATES, commencing consideration of a proposition of Deputy Margaret Elaine Millar of St. John , St. Lawrence and Trinity entitled Re-instatement of Senators' (P.2/2025), commenced consideration of an amendment of Deputy Thomas Antony Coles of St. Helier South (P.2/2025 Amd.), and rejected an amendment of Deputy Kristina Louise Moore of St. Mary , St. Ouen and St. Peter (P.2/2025 Amd.Amd.), that, in Part 3 –
for the word "twelve", there should be substituted the words, ""eight", and after the words "in their place" there should be inserted the words "reducing the number of Members within the States Assembly to 45 with funding saved on salary for the vacated seats distributed equally between the Senatorial seats".
