Changes to Ministerial Offices (Jersey) Amendment Order 2024. Chief Minister.
This Order:
• renames the Minister for Children and Education as the Minister for Children and Families;
• establishes the Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning and transfers some of the functions of the Minister for Children and Families to the Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning;
• renames the Minister for Housing and Communities as the Minister for Housing; and
• transfers financial services functions from the Chief Minister to the Minister for External Relations.
Article 1 amends the States of Jersey (Ministerial Offices) Order 2022 (the "Ministerial Offices Order") to rename the Minister for Children and Education as the Minister for Children and Families. It also introduces Schedule 1, which amends other legislation to reflect the new name of the Ministerial Office in relation to the functions that are being retained by that Office.
Article 2 amends the Ministerial Offices Order to establish the Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning. It also introduces Schedule 2, which amends other legislation to transfer some of the functions of the Minister for Children and Families to the Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning.
Article 3 amends the Ministerial Offices Order to rename the Minister for Housing and Communities as the Minister for Housing. It also introduces Schedule 3, which amends other legislation to reflect the new name of the Ministerial Office.
Article 4 introduces Schedule 4, which amends legislation to transfer financial services functions from the Chief Minister to the Minister for External Relations.

Tourism (General Provisions) (Jersey) Amendment Order 2024. Minister for Sustainable Economic Development.
This Order amends the Tourism (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1990. The amendments remove the minimum size requirements for –
• bedrooms, beds, corridors and both private and shared bathrooms, shower rooms, baths, showers and wash basins in hotels;
• bedrooms, beds and shared bathrooms, shower rooms, baths, showers and wash basins in guest houses; and
• accommodation, rooms for sleeping, bathrooms, shower rooms, baths, showers, wash basins, living rooms and kitchens in self-catering accommodation.
This Order comes into force 7 days after it is made.
The Order was made on 7th March 2024 and came into force on 14th March 2024.

Employment (Amendment No. 14) (Jersey) Commencement Order 2024. Minister for Social Security.
This Order brings the Employment (Amendment No. 14) (Jersey) Law 2023 (the "Law") into force on 18th March 2024. The Law makes provision for parental bereavement leave.
The Order was made on 13th March 2024 and came into force on the same day.
